Matt Franklin
Director
Matt Franklin Director
Matt has been part of the Russell Scanlan furniture since 2004 when he first joined as an Account Handler, learning the ropes as a junior member of the commercial team. Throughout his time with the business, Matt has dealt with the face-to-face requirements for a wide variety of clients and is responsible for several significant client acquisitions. Appointed as Director in 2021, Matt is now involved with the general running of the business whilst looking after his portfolio of clients. As a keen runner, he has pounded the streets of a number of European capitals and venues, running marathons and other distance events.
Steve Wright
Claims Director
Steve Wright Claims Director
Steve first joined Russell Scanlan in 2014, dealing with all types of claims across the full client portfolio before being appointed as Claims Director in 2021. NEBOSH qualified, Steve also oversees the firm’s HR Department and can offer extensive advice in relation to Health & Safety matters. When he’s not kept busy by his daughters, Steve can be found on a golf course fuelling his love for the sport.
Simon Winiarski

Simon Winiarski Director
Simon joined Russell Scanlan in 2008 and became part of the senior team as Director in 2013. Alongside supporting the general running of the business, Simon has his own portfolio of clients which he oversees. In his spare time, when he’s not helping out with his daughter’s football team he’s training for his next marathon challenge, after discovering his newfound love for running.
Mike Dickinson

Mike Dickinson Sales & Marketing Director
Mike, alongside managing his own client portfolio, drives the business development programme for the firm. Joining Russell Scanlan in 1999, Mike became a Director in 2005 and was part of the team that carried out the successful MBO in 2007. A keen follower and participant of sports, Mike has also played a key role in the development of Russell Scanlan’s specialist brewery and distillery insurance service, Masterbrew, and as a result has become the resident expert on all things craft beer.
Bryan Banbury

Bryan Banbury Managing Director
Bryan joined Russell Scanlan in 1988 as an Account Handler for our commercial clients before working his way up through the business becoming a Director in 2001 and becoming Managing Director in 2007 after leading a successful MBO. Bryan is also a Director of UNA, the alliance of independent insurance brokers, of which Russell Scanlan is an active member. A lifelong Manchester City fan (before they became uber-rich!), Bryan loves a wide variety of sports and is still trying to hold onto a single figure golf handicap, currently 8.
