Russell Scanlan Celebrate 20 Years of Independent Insurance Alliance
Russell Scanlan came together with their colleagues from across the sector to celebrate 20 years of UNA, the independent broker alliance, at the organisation’s annual conference.
The event, held at the prestigious Belfry resort and golf course in Sutton Coldfield, was attended by more than 200 delegates from across the UK and saw presentations and break-out sessions take place on a range of hot topics in the insurance sector such as how to embrace digital marketing in financial services and how the claims sector is evolving in order to tackle continued fraud and rising costs.
Managing Director at Russell Scanlan, Bryan Banbury, said being a member of UNA was a gold standard for the insurance broking sector and that the shared knowledge and experience of the members combined means Russell Scanlan can offer their clients the best and most competitive service on the market.

“It was a pleasure to come together with our UNA colleagues to celebrate 20 years of the organisation and to watch some of our peers’ corporate videos showcasing their staff and credentials. Our video depicted us as Nottingham’s answer to all of your insurance needs, in superhero guise. We were pleased to get a few laughs from the audience for our mini film and then enjoyed networking and discussing current trends and challenges facing the insurance sector during the course of the day.”
The conference was also attended by representatives from UNA’s partner insurers and providers, such as NMU, Zurich and Premium Credit. Guests enjoyed an inspirational speech from one of the UK’s leading speakers on change, workplace relationships and motivation, Paul McGee, as well as presentations from Director of Broker Markets Nick Hobbs and SME and Corporate Partnership Director of Allianz David Martin. The day came to a close with a champagne reception and black tie dinner.
