Cotgrave FC Junior Team Scores With Brand New Kit
Here at Russell Scanlan, we’re passionate about local good causes. So we’re delighted to help one of Cotgrave FC’s junior teams to kick off the season by sponsoring their brand new kit.
Cotgrave FC, formerly Cotgrave Colts, has been providing football for children in and around the village for the last 25 years, and we’re more than happy to fund the kit for the under 9s Clarets team.
The 11-strong squad plays seven-a-side football in the Young Elizabethan League and trains at Ridley Sports Ground in Colliers Way, Cotgrave, alongside the under 9 Blues team. The club also manages senior teams, and relies on sponsorship from local businesses to cover its costs.
Our Managing Director, Bryan Banbury, said: “We’re delighted to offer our support to Cotgrave FC, which is a much-loved club to many families in the area. We hope the Clarets are pleased with their new kit and we wish them every success with the coming season.”
Graham Everington, Manager of the under 9s teams, said: “It was a real buzz to be able to buy a brand new football kit for the Clarets, which is looking very smart. On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Russell Scanlan for their very generous sponsorship of our team, which will help us to continue promoting grassroots football in our community.”
Russell Scanlan is keen to support local good causes, having previously raised money for My Sight Notts, The Nottingham Stroke Club, Linden Lodge Neurological Rehabilitation Unit and Nottingham Hospice. The company’s Charity of the Year for 2018 is the Forget-me-Notts project run by global charity Operation Orphan, which helps underprivileged and at-risk children across the East Midlands this year.
