Russell Scanlan Expands Team to Meet SME Demand
Russell Scanlan, Nottingham’s longest-established insurance broker, which has continued to grow both its team and client base significantly in the last 5 years, has appointed a new SME Account Handler to help handle the uplift in business activity expected in Q2 of 2023.
Shaneece Deep has joined the specialist SME team at Russell Scanlan, a business with significant experience of both commercial and SME insurance broking sectors across The Midlands and the UK.
Despite continuing concerns regarding a potential recession and the current cost of living crisis, recent surveys are reporting an increase in the number of small and startup businesses, particularly in the hospitality and retail sectors.
As a result of this, businesses are mapping out or have started to grow their operations – a 12 per cent leap in ambition on the previous quarter. Inevitably, these new and growing businesses have turned to specialist insurance brokers that demonstrate successful partnerships with these entrepreneurial firms, and Russell Scanlan is also reporting an increase in enquiries from the sector.
15 per cent of the firm’s employees now support the SME client portfolio, with more additions planned over the coming month.
